About BlueHeart Energy
BlueHeart Energy was founded in 2016 as a deep-tech company that has developed a new sustainable thermoacoustics technology to radically improve the performance of heat pumps, enabling them to evolve from being the best solution in the market to becoming the perfect solution. Our technology is a disruptive approach to generate heat and cold, with potential to revolutionize the whole industry.
With our so called 'Blue Heart' inside, heat pumps turn into affordable, silent and flexible devices, capable of working with wide temperature ranges suitable for both new and existing houses. Importantly, BlueHeart doesn’t require any refrigerants and doesn’t generate any CO2e emissions.
About the Role
As a Mechanical FEA Engineer, you will be responsible for performing mechanical analysis of the BlueHeart Energy heat pump. With the first prototype currently in production, your work will focus on optimizing the design for mass production using FEM software (ANSYS, Marc Mentat, Abaqus…).
Before this role was established, all mechanical simulations were outsourced. Today, you act as the internal consultant, working closely with component owners to define criteria, interpret results, set priorities, and align deadlines. Your input is essential to the design process and product evolution.
What You’ll Do
Perform mechanical simulations using available SW to assess components such as dynamic membranes, pistons, cylinders, and structural parts
Analyze materials including steel, aluminum, and plastics for fatigue, creep resistance, and mechanical integrity
Support the Engineering Team by actively collaborating on design decisions, sharing insights, and guiding optimizations
Engage in ongoing discussions with designers, analysts, and engineers to translate concepts into manufacturable solutions
Contribute to a creative and fast-paced development environment focused on innovation and impact
What We’re Looking For
MSc in Mechanical or Material Engineering
Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience
Strong experience in FEA and fatigue analysis; thermal analysis is a plus
Proficiency with different analysis SW (ANSYS, Marc Mentat, Abaqus) is a strong advantage
Knowledge of materials such as metals, elastomers, and plastics
Ability to propose and communicate design modifications
Fluent in English, both spoken and written
Comfortable working in a startup environment; team-oriented and goal-driven
What We Offer
Salary range between €5.200 – €6.200 gross per month (depending on experience)
Opportunity to participate in the ESOP scheme, directly linked to company value creation and individual performance.
25 vacation days.
Hybrid work arrangement supporting autonomy and work–life balance.
Training opportunities to support in your personal and professional development with access to extensive training opportunities at your request.
Access to OpenUp, because we prioritize mental well-being.
Participation in our pension scheme with employer contribution.
Commuting allowance, in line with our travel policy.
A strategic role in a purpose-driven scale-up, contributing to a greener world and shaping the future of sustainable thermal technology. Learn more about our mission here.
